Description/Reflection
Five Old Gentlemen Peaks . One day , my friends and I decided to take an adventure up the mountain behind our school campus . It was quite a tiresome climb up the steep mountain . I was determined to keep going because I wanted to see the view so badly . Finally , I made it . Wow.. . It was definitely a beautiful view and well worth the climb . My friend and I decided to go around the side of the mountain to find a spor to rest and take pictures . I saw this ledge creeping out of a huge boulder and thought it would be a great picture if I got on it . My friend thought I was crazy to go on the ledge since it was dangerously overlooking a sharp side of the mountain . But, being crazy and daring person I am , I climbed onto it anyway and she took the picture for me . Although this was only one of my many adventures in China , this picture is significant to me because it reminds me of the miraculous and adventurous time I had in my four months there. In the picture , I am looking down onto Xiamen University , the college where I studied . From this spot on the mountain , I can see the dormitory where I slept . The ledge is on top of a mountain range called Five Old Gentlemen Peaks locate in Xiamen , a major city in the southern Fujian province of China . It is a scene of five peaks colored by green trees and bamboo and marked by serene valleys and rocks of pleasurable silhouettes . Buddhist temple over 1000 years old built in the Tang Dynasty . From this spot on the mountainside , you can see the peaks stretch far out to your left and right . Not only can you see the beautiful architectural designs of the university campus , you also have a view of the glimmering sea surging in the distance . It was truly a scene to remember .
