Description/Reflection
During March of 2000 , the England Term group was escorted about Ireland by our faithful leader , DR (Professor Dan Ritchie) , and our "charismatic " Irish bus driver , Harry . Our home base for several days was Galway , a small city on the western coast of Ireland . As he drove us about through the rocky hillsides of Western Ireland , Harry kept our spirits up by pumping music from the Beatles and the Corrs through the speakers of the bus . On one of these days , he took us to Connemara National Park , a place fill with mist , high hills , and dark pines . As we explored , we took a stop for several minutes at Kylemore Abbey , a manor-like gray structure situated on a lake that reflected its image . It was watched from above by a massive white statue of Christ , which seemed a small dot on the hillside from this far away.. .
